Freestep Farm is a 1-acre microfarm located in Durham, CA. Many types of chickens, turkeys, ducks and other critters reside here and enjoy living life as they were meant to: free to roam on earth and grass, foraging on greenery and tasty bugs, snails, and worms… they get plenty of exercise scratching in the dirt, taking dust baths, and playing in the mud!

We have beautiful farm-fresh eggs for sale, in natural shades of dark brown, blue, green, white, pinkish, and beige—and some have speckles! They are $3 per dozen and can be picked up at the farm. Please contact me if you’d like some eggs, and I will set aside the freshest for you. I also have fertile eggs for hatching, from pure breeds as well as hybrids.

I raise Silkie, Black Copper Marans, Mottled Houdan, and hybrid chickens; Bourbon Red turkeys, Silky ducks, and Sebastopol geese. For more information on these breeds go to the poultry page.
